Team Justin Mahoney

On my team I have Justin Mahoney. Mahoney was one of the first Creative professionals I met when I first came to Montreal back in 2009. From there, he has become one of my closest friends and personal copywriter. I will be the first to admit that I am not the best writer and my spelling / grammar is atrocious. I have learned to be a photographer and have someone QC all my writing content.

Should you require professional copywriting for your own business, check out Justin Mahoney Facebook and contact him.

Below is a little information about Team Justin Mahoney.

Who are you? What do you do?

Justin Mahoney. I am a web copywriter and a freelance journalist that specializes in popular culture and fashion.

What do you consider to be your highest achievement within your field, so far?

Covering the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Montreal leg of their honeymoon.

How did you end up being a professional writer?

By chance. An editor for a popular culture magazine asked me to cover a weekend getaway in Quebec City, in the guise of an advertising sales job. The editor took me on as a full time writer once she read my feature.

Walk me through your creative process.

Coffee. Stress. Giving myself a deadline. Allowing for lots of play time. Seeking out the next best thing. More stress. Rewriting every sentence as a painter would repaint their canvas. Always looking for the right flow within my words.

What’s the most surprising thing about you, according to your social circles?

I like to collect propaganda art and can eat a whole watermelon in one sitting.

If I were to look under your bed, what would I find?

A box of eagle feathers and one of my two cats; Dusty, a Maine coon, and Lemiou, a turtle shell.
